Project Overview:

Development of a robust, multi-faceted platform featuring a custom-built payment plugin for John Deere Financial, alongside an e-commerce store and geo-location service integration using the Google Maps API.

Technical Stack:

WordPress (CMS), WooCommerce (E-commerce Core), Custom PHP Plugin (John Deere Payment Gateway), Google Maps API, Custom Admin UI/UX (for bulk user management).

Objective:

To create a unified platform that maximizes farm efficiency by integrating specialized payment options (John Deere) and simplifying logistics through geo-location, thereby reducing operational friction for growers.

Challenges:

Custom Financial Gateway: Building a complex, non-API-integrated John Deere payment gateway with custom features for user status, admin notifications, and order processing workflow.
B2B User Management: Developing custom admin features (bulk actions, user profile fields) to manage and control which users are eligible for the John Deere payment option.
Geo-Location UX: Integrating the Google Maps API seamlessly into customer forms for accurate and simple location data entry.

Custom John Deere Payment Plugin: Engineered a full-featured custom payment gateway for WooCommerce, enabling payment via the John Deere Financial Multi-Use Line, complete with customized user modes (Preselected/Enabled/All).
Advanced User & Order Management: Implemented custom bulk actions in the WordPress admin to enable/disable John Deere payment for multiple users, and designed custom status flow management for orders.
Geo-Location Integration: Integrated the Google Maps API into relevant forms for streamlined and accurate location data entry by users (e.g., Central Irrigation page).
User Profile Integration: Created functionality for administrators to manage John Deere account details directly within the user profile page.
